A kurkure making machine uses a twin-screw extruder to cook and expand a corn- or rice-based dough under heat and pressure, forcing it through a shaped die that gives the familiar curled, crunchy texture as it exits and puffs.
The extruded rope is cut to length in-line, then moves to a dryer or roaster stage to lock in texture before flavouring — matching the same core process used across our roasting and drying equipment.
